The PLUS  plans:

(a) initiating & co-ordinating Abbey visitor attraction and promotion:
- wider promotion of the Abbey as a place to visit or hire.
- review improvements to layout, notices and facilities inside the Abbey, “the
Abbey Experience”, including tower and history tours.
- assist where relevant in promotion of events booked at the Abbey
- liaise where possible with local tourism development work.

(b) overseeing relevant fund-raising and  costs:
The annual costs(2008), rounded up to nearest £50, necessary to keep the Abbey open for visitors, welcoming, warm, lit, insured & clean are:

                                                     Cleaning - £4,150
                                 Heating and lighting - £10,950
General repairs and overheads - £10,800
               Improvements & contingency, say £3,000
              Public Liability & other Insurance - £10,100
                                                                    -----------
This gives an annual cost for The PLUS of £39,000

To uphold a week needs a donation of £750
To uphold a day needs a donation of £100
To uphold an hour needs a donation of £12

Notes:
- The Abbey congregation will find most of the volunteers needed for the tasks above.
- The Abbey congregation will contribute one seventh (£5,600) of the annual costs, covering
the periods used for religious services and activities.
- The Parochial Church Council (PCC) will oversee the scheme and underwrite any shortfall.
- Donations qualify for Gift Aid & tax relief as The PLUS is administered by the PCC, a charity.
- The PLUS may hold and invest funds; accounts will be published & available to the public.
- Figures and information correct as at May 2009, errors and omissions excepted.

The primary purpose of The PLUS is visitor attraction & welcome, and day-to-day
upkeep, distinct  from Friends of Pershore Abbey, which helps with the building structure.
